Internet betting firm Unibet has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Scottish Premiership's Celtic FC, and will offer exclusive offers through the club's CeltcLive wifi system.

As a result of the deal Unibet will be offering its live odds on the system, which has more than 155,000 fans registered. The app allows fans to watch videos, and see live stats during matches, as well as vote for the man-of-the match. Furthermore, the deal will include advertisements for the service, which will feature Unibet on the club stadium's LED screens.

Commenting on the deal Unibet Head of UK Marketing Operations Ed Nicholson said, “We are excited by the potential of stadium wi-fi for matchday betting, allowing us to add a new dimension for fans. We are one of the UK’s fastest growing betting sites and we want to be ahead of the game in the technology we use."

Sports Revolution Commercial Director Simon Hills added, “Stadium Wi-Fi has huge potential for commercial partners to offer services that enhance the matchday experience for fans. Betting is a perfect fit, especially as in-play odds complement the real-time content we are serving fans through the app.”

“Live betting is the future of online sports betting, and this is a perfect way to fuel that demand and for us to make a mark. We expect it to take off with other clubs and wanted to get in early with this first application at the UK’s first fully connected stadium, Celtic Park.”
