Full Tilt Drops Two Pro Sponsorships

This story was published more than 9 years ago.

Internet poker site Full Tilt has announced that it will be dropping its sponsorship deals with professional players Gus Hansen Viktor Blom.

The announcement by the Amaya owned poker firm was quite complimentary, as the firm wished both players well in their future endeavors. The dropping of the two players appears to be a growing trend among poker sites, as several large operators such as Party Poker, PokerStars and Ultimate Poker all have dropped players.

Commenting on the release a Full Tilt Spokesman said, "This follows a year-long review of the Full Tilt brand and a decision to move away from pro-centric advertising to focus on the experiences and stories of the vast majority of our players."

"Full Tilt will celebrate the excitement, fun, and intrinsic enjoyment of playing our poker, blackjack, roulette, and slots games. A new TV campaign will launch imminently, representing this new approach. There will be more news on this later in the week."
