Delaware Online Gambling Market Surges Up

Delaware's sluggish online gambling market showed new signs of life in March, as the state's gaming regulator revealed that revenues surged upward.

Compared to the month before the state saw casino revenues jump 32.4% to $122,441, while online poker grew 12.3% to $84,391.

The numbers are still quite small for the state, but it must be noted that the state's population is less than 1,000,000.

Delaware implemented online gambling late last year as a way to produce additional tax revenue, making it one of just three states that offer legalized cyber betting.
