Longtime US Senator John McCain was caught playing free to play online poker on his iPhone during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee regarding potential American military action against Syria, causing many in the press to rib the military veteran.
McCain was caught playing the poker game by a Washington Post photographer during the three-and-a-half hour meeting, and made many evening news highlights as the press made light of the situation.
Commenting on his "poker scandal", McCain Tweeted:
McCain also admitted that he was playing the game to get a break from the boredom that overcame him during the meeting in which US politicians are debating whether or not to launch a military strike against Syria, who the US government accuses of launching a nerve gas attack against its citizens.

While I am a poker fan, I cannot say that I am a fan of this.
My thinking is that if you are an elected official and your government is holding hearings on a military strike that you will be expected to vote on, you should be fully engaged in that meeting... no matter how "boring" it is.
Poor little man. The senate is discussing possible military action against another country where people's lives are at stake but he finds it "boring" and would rather play games on his phone. Typical politician.
