BetVictor Set To Re-Launch Massive Bad Beat Jackpot

This story was published more than 11 years ago.

Internet betting destination BetVictor has announced that it is launching a new version of its Bad Beat Poker Jackpot that will seed with a massive €921,603 prize pool.

The jackpot was frozen earlier in March to afford the company the opportunity to alter the landscape of the jackpot. Reportedly the progressive will now be easier to win, with more people getting some cash when the jackpot is triggered.

To be eligible to win part of the massive pool, players must participate at BetVictor poker tables valued at more than €.10c and €.20c. With the new rules, qualifying hands have been reduced from four-of-a-kind eights to four-of-a-kind twos.

Additionally, players who hit the jackpot will see 10% of the jackpot split among all opt-in players at the table. As it stands, a table hitting the jackpot would be worth more than €90,000.

Commenting on the release BetVictor's Head of Poker Andy Horne said: "We're delighted to be able to launch the all new Bad Beat Jackpot with an industry-record breaking prize pool of over €920,000."

"Will it reach EUR1 million? Who knows! The changes mean it will be won more often and by more people now. The current Jackpot will see over €90,000 paid out to opted in players playing at the same stake as the winner so even if you're not at the table where it hits you can share in the good fortune and that's no bad beat!"
