Maltese Man Takes William Hill To The Bank

A 41 year old Maltese villager won £570,000 from UK bookmaker William Hill after he hit on a 683,783/1 football accumulator bet.

The man who is a waiter hit the jackpot when he bet on 19 football fixtures to win on a €1 bet. The win impacted William Hill's November 2011 betting margins.

William Hill CEO Ralph Topping said "November was certainly a very good month for our football clients betting on small-stake, high-return multiple bets."
