PokerStars Sets World Record For Players

Online poker giant PokerStars has broken the Guinness World Record for players in action at one time; roughly two years after setting the record in 2009.

The record was officially recorded as having 200,000 players active at one time and was confirmed by Adjudicator Gaz Deaves. PokerStars held a $1 buy in tournament for the occasion, which saw Russian poker player "sokoluk1991" win the first place prize of $50,000.

The record setting is part of PokerStars' 10th Anniversary festivities.
