Canadian gaming developer Chartwell Technology Inc. and its subsidiary Chartwell Games have announced that they are the first provider to bring "Ultimate Texas Hold'em” to an online casino.
The company teamed up with ShuffleMaster Incorporated to introduce the land-based table game to its clients. The game is reported to be one of ShuffleMaster's highest revenue earners.
The game features head-to-head play against the dealer and an optional bonus bet that pays odds if the player’s final five-card hand is a three-of-a-kind or better. By letting players check through the river, Ultimate Texas Hold’em beats other hold’em style games hands down.
The game is the first table game available on Chartwell’s new Rapid Game Deployment platform which means clients can install the game on their system with no downtime.
“We’re excited to be the first to offer our clients this wildly popular card game. Players will love the same great features as the popular land-based game,” states Dave Acorn, COO. “Ultimate Texas Hold’em is the first Chartwell table game released this year and will surely be a hit with operators and players alike.”
