Golden Casino in the sights of U.S. Justice officials

Gambling 911 reports that online casino group, Golden Casino, is the subject of an online gambling investigation by U.S. Attorney's Offices out of Maryland and New York as well as Louisiana State Law enforcement and U.S.Customs.

Reportedly contravention of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Actof 2006 forms the basis of the investigation. The investigation's taskforce is said to have approached U.S. Customers of Golden Casino as well as small banks who were approached to process online gambling transactions. New customer jurisdictional issues are also said to form part of the investigation. It is not clear what U.S. Customs role is in theinvestigation.
