Progressive Blackjack is like putting two things you love together: the excitement and brainwork of the traditional Blackjack game and a chance to surprise yourself with a progressive jackpot. There is not a lot you need to do to qualify for the jackpot, so this means it will not distract you too much from your regular game. You need to place a side bet of €1 and you can win the side bet if you are dealt 1 or more aces.

The progressive payouts specified below are only paid if the matching cards are dealt consecutively on the same hand. Therefore your first card dealt has to be an ace and, unlike regular blackjack, you should not split aces if you are playing the side bet and have been dealt a pair of aces as your first two cards. The entire progressive jackpot is won when you are dealt four aces of the same suit in a single hand. The side bet pays based on the table below, with the highest matching hand paying:

  • 4 suited aces: Progressive Jackpot
  • 3 suited aces: 5000x the side bet
  • 4 aces: 2500x
  • 3 aces: 250x
  • 2 suited aces: 100x
  • 2 aces: 50x
  • 1 ace: 5x

The odds of being dealt four aces of the same suit from a 6 deck shoe to win this jackpot are an eye-watering 1 in 6,454,650. Bearing in mind the analytical and value-focused nature of many blackjack players, it comes as no surprise to see that this jackpot is rarely won. Keep an eye on the pot though because once it reaches $581,109 it becomes a break-even bet, and any higher than that puts the side bet into positive expected value territory - i.e. if this happens players have an advantage over the casino.
