Megajacks is a progressive version of Jacks or Better video poker brought to you by Playtech. It is a pooled jackpot that is widely played across many different casinos, and it is therefore won very regularly (every couple of days on average). To hit the jackpot you must be betting the maximum 5 coins (25c each) and land a royal flush of any suit, before or after the redraw. The chance of this happening is roughly one in every 40,000 hands, which is very low compared to most progressive jackpot games.

The pot resets to $300 each time after it is won and the break-even value for this game is $/€/£1230, so if the jackpot is above that amount it is one of those rare occasions when you have an advantage over the casino. As this game uses a fixed 25c coin size no matter which currency you use, you can increase your RTP (and even gain an advantage) by picking the lowest valued currency when playing, which is usually Dollars. This is because a player playing with a £0.25 coin size is paying more to play than someone playing with $0.25 coins, but the jackpot won is converted between currencies so that it is the same value using the daily foreign exchange rates. That also explains why you may have noticed the average win value of this jackpot can be above its break-even value, particularly in Dollars. It is because there are many more players playing this game using Euros or Pounds than Dollars.

There is nothing too different with this game compared to other video poker games, aside from the jackpot. It is a five card Jacks or Better game in which you place your wager and you are dealt your first five cards. You have the option to discard any of them once and, if you do, you then receive new cards to replace them. Payouts are based on five card poker hand rankings and you need at least a pair of Jacks or higher to get a payout.

As is usual with most video poker games there is an additional betting round that allows you to gamble a winning hand. If you choose to you can try to double your win by playing a simple 50/50 chance game. You need to select from face down cards that are then compared to the face up card of the dealer. If your single card is higher you double your money, but if it is lower you lose everything.
