Progressive jackpot history
Caribbean Poker (also known in some places as Caribbean Stud Poker) is a very popular progressive jackpot game. It's easy to see why. Of all the progressive games out there, it perhaps the most reminiscent of a classic casino poker game, which it makes it uniquely appealing to those who love to go for the jackpot but hate having the limited control of their destiny afforded by slot games. It is also great for those looking for quick poker games played mano-a-mano. The jackpot is won by activating the progressive jackpot game and achieving a royal flush hand.
This is a simple game, but a great one. Begin by making a bet of anywhere between $1 and a whopping $200. Make sure to throw in an extra $1 to make yourself eligible for the big progressive jackpot in the upper left-hand corner. You are then dealt a five card hand and the dealer is receives a five card hand with his top card showing. You must then decide to fold or stay in the game. If you fold, you forfeit your ante.
Should you decide to stay in the game, your ante is doubled and you go head-to-head against the dealer's hand. If he does not qualify by having at least an ace-king combination, you win back twice your ante. If he qualifies and your hand is better, you win twice your ante and an amount defined in the pay table in the corner of the screen. This is how you can get your hands on the jackpot. If the dealer qualifies and his hand is better, you lose twice your ante.
