Bonus Bowling is certainly something different from the other games out there today. Like Jackpot Darts, Bonus Bowling is a game based on a game commonly played by friends whose online equivalent consists of randomly-generated results. This Playtech game asks you to bet on how many pins the virtual bowler will knock down with two throws.
As far as uncomplicated, direct games go, there are good online games whose charm lies in their simplicity. Then, there are those which come across as just plain dull. Unfortunately, Bonus Bowling falls in the latter category. There is very little to keep your attention for very long here. Not only is the betting system devoid of any depth whatsoever, but Bonus Bowling also does not have any interesting effects, graphics or bonuses features to keep your attention for very long. To top it off, the background noise, which is more or less a steady crowd murmur, gets very annoying very quickly.
Seldom do games come any simpler than Bonus Bowling. The object of the game is to guess how many pins the thrower will topple in two throws. You can bet that he/she will knock down 0-3 pins, 4-6 pins, 7-9 pins, will throw a spare (i.e. knock down all ten pins in two tries) or a strike (i.e. knock down all ten pins with just the first ball). Note that it is possible for the virtual bowler to throw a gutterball, i.e. throw balls which do not knock down any pins.
Betting varies by category. You can bet up to $50 that the results will be 0-3, $25 that it will be 4-6, $20 that it will be 7-9, $10 on a spare, or only $4 on a strike. The maximum amount you can bet, therefore, is $109. Odds for the various ranges are listed next to the bet fields. Once you’ve placed your bets, click the ‘Throw’ button and hope that you’ve guessed correctly.
