Fancy a trip around the globe from the comfort of your own home? Have you had Paris's Eiffel Tower, New York's Statue of Liberty, Beijing's Great Wall of China and London's Big Ben on your list of things to see? Well, with Around the World, you can take a metaphorical trip to all of these places while at the same hopefully earning yourself enough money to finance some of these big adventures!
Around the World is a great game based on the same concept as high-low card based games - guessing whether the next number in a sequence will be higher or lower than the previous one. Overall, this is a fun game which is a little bit of a departure from classic jackpot games. You don't have to wager much to win a lot of money here, but it's also unlikely that you will walk away with truly huge winnings from this one.
The underlying concept of the game is to guess whether numbers will be higher or lower than the number currently showing. Begin by placing a bet of between 10 pence and 100 pounds. The compass will then spin and land on a number. All you have to do is guess whether the next number is higher or lower (numbers will not repeat). If you guess correctly, you keep going; if you guess incorrectly, you gain a strike. Two strikes means your trip is over.
Every fifth guess will land you on city and clears your strikes. When you reach the city, you can decide whether to cash out or keep playing. If you reach the city without any strikes, your initial bet is multiplied by 2.5 for Paris, 3 for New York, 3.5 for Beijing and 4 for London. If you reach a city with one strike, your bet is not multiplied but you have the option of cashing out with your ante still in hand. It is also possible to have the spinner land on a number of other buttons:
