Casino Listings suffers DDOS attack

8 replies • Last post

Hi folks, if you have been trying and failing to browse the site during the past few hours, then you aren't alone. Unfortunately we have been targeted by someone with a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack.

This is an unsophisticated attack launched by angry people with too much money that targets a website with so much traffic from malware infected computers all around the world that it can't function. This prompted our web host to cut off all traffic to the site so no-one could get through.

As non-one has claimed responsibility or made any demands, we can only assume that this has happened because someone doesn't like us or something that we have published here. I take that as a complement and a sign that we are doing the right thing and telling people the truth about casinos.

Hopefully that is the last we see of it, but you can never be sure.

What a shame. I am sorry to hear you were attacked, but happy to see it is apparently all over.

Well on a positive note it has motivated us to beef up our defences against the scum of the internet, so hopefully we are now better protected against this sort of thing as well as other badness in the future.

I am glad to hear you came through this ok. You have to love the internet and the way it gives every lunatic an equal chance of heaping their own brand of misery on everyone else!

Probably the same anonymous heroes had another go at us again overnight, trying to take us down with a big burst of traffic at least 3 times. Fortunately they failed this time due to the new protections that we have put in place. No sign of any 10 bitcoin demands though!

Its nice to feel such love.

Right on and let them go begging for the 10 sounds like the same crew that had a go at Betat and Neteller their a lame crew that will get taken down at some stage ddos extortion don't work if they had brains they would use the gear for something like bitcoin mining.
