New Guilty Pleasure

37 replies • Last post

So I am not doing so great staying away from the sugar this time of year, and I found another SWEET guilty pleasure: Espresso Beans in Premium Chocolate. TJ Maxx, of all places, had them by the check out counter (tempting me, calling my name, lol), and I already went back last night for my SECOND bag. They are soooo good, and best of all they are a mix of milk chocolate, white chocolate, and a half and half mix of chocolate covered espresso beans.

A friend made me some one year for Christmas, but I had kind of forgotten about them. I see them at Caribou Coffee and Starbucks, but they are always too spendy there, but these weren't too bad as far as price goes, so that was another plus. lol

I am munching away and wondering what is your guilty pleasure this holiday season or lately? I am also wondering if I will EVER get rid of all sugar in my diet again for any length of time, but that is an entirely different topic and not so fun. 😉 😜

I love those wedding cake cookies and the ones with cashews. I think they are produced by archway. they always have them at groceries during Christmas and they are terribly high in fat and sugar but I love them. 🙂

My mom used to make the wedding cake cookies every Christmas. I kind of forgot about those, but they are good. Yum! lol! Glad I am not the only one with a sweet tooth. 😉

I know of all three of those games from the Land Casino. Some guy at the land casino told me he has a bunch of their games. I would LOVE to find Wicked Winnings for my friend who will now play NOTHING ELSE but Wicked Winnings when she goes to the land casino. lol

It does pay good, the Wicked Winnings @ the Land Casino and I enjoy it! I have not found any software on this but I'll let you know. Btw, if she wants to buy the real slot machine deliver to her house, I accidentally found this site while browsing @ the Amazon.com (below)

http://www.justforfunslots.net/sale/

They may have it.. lol Nice gift though for birthday or anniversary.

I see Life of Luxury and maybe Double Diamonds, but no Wickeds. That would be an awesome gift, but I know I could never afford it. I don't know if her family could either, but that would be SO funny to have the delivered to her door, lol!

She has one many hand pays playing Wickeds and other, smaller wins. She literally will not play anything else. She hadn't won for a while, and a week or two ago she stayed on the same machine for the entire time she was at the casino, like I am sure at least six hours, and she ended up with a total of 1500 in separate withdrawals, so no instant taxes. She is so lucky, usually. I love Wickeds when they are paying, but they aren't often very nice to me.

I was going to try your recipe for the girl scout cookies..........the thin mints one. Well, I've had a hectic schedule with all that has happened with my mom, so the Andes mints that I bought to melt over the Ritz crackers were individually eaten. I love them. Now I have to buy more of both to make the cookies again.

I like your new picture LuckyMe!

On topic, I love the Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans. I used to eat them in high school when I had to get up really early for. They gave me the boost I definitely needed.

Lately I have been craving (and eating) 😢 apple fritters. I don't know why but I just can't get enough of them. I am not really a donut sweet roll fan but these just call out to me.

Oh God. Apple Fritters are AMAZING!

Down by Detroit where my parents are is this doughnut shop called Dandee Doughnuts. Best apple fritters ever.

I need to go every time I spend a night down there. I wish I could take a trip down there to get one now!

One of my guilty pleasures? White Castle burgers. My wife hates when I get them, and she has effectively tried to ban me from eating them. It never works though, and she suffers due to their *ahem* "magical effects".

You two are making me hungry, lol. I LOVE those coffee beans, and I don't have any right now! Wah!

'Slim, that is so funny about White Castle. I have one less than a mile away from my home right now, but I rarely go. However, when we used to visit my Aunt (God rest her fun and crazy soul, lol) she would insist we bring her White Castle. We had to bring two huge bags, and she would freeze them individually for when she had a craving. The ones in the grocery store just didn't cut it for her. I like them with onions and mustard when I do have them.

Magical effects, rofl!

I am hooked on those stupid red juju Valentine hearts right now. Taken over my obsession with M&Ms for a while. I also love coconut macaroons.

I could talk food all day long. Now I have to go find something to eat, lol

Glad to see you are back BF. you were missed but not so much in the M vs F thread. 😂 😉 Not a fan of white castle but I am getting an apple fritter waist line as the bakery at the grocery I frequent keeps running sales and these apple fritters are nice and crisp on the outside with quite a few apple chunks...yum

Well its good to know you are a-ok and another guilty pleasure of mine is circus peanuts. they are horribly laden with sugar but I just love them. Also I am loving xo patron cafe. It's like kaulua but better. 😉 I put it in my protein shake for a little kick sometimes and it helps me sleep. 😴 😴

No, unfortunately I've been in the Chicago area for years. I was back in Ohio a week or two ago, because my mom was in the hospital. I really miss the area and the people there. We are hoping to move back this year.

A non- food guilty pleasure of mine is a pedi and mani. I even left the house today to go have them done and it was miserable out but I just love to have my feet and hands done. And I got a nice tropical color for my polish. 🙂

That is so nice. I have only had two pedicures and two manicures in my entire life.

I had a pedicure about three years ago (my first) with my mom, side by side, on Mother's Day.

I had a manicure this summer, my first ever (gel manicure).

Before Christmas I was treated to a certificate for a pedicure and manicure before I went on my casino trip. I enjoyed that. Now it is time for them again, but no $$ so I have to do my own again. I do my toes pretty good, but the hands drive me crazy, because I have to constantly touch them up when I do them myself.

That is an awesome treat! 🙂

Massage is a guilty pleasure. I had one a few weeks ago and it really did seem to help my neck. I'm ready for another!

That is another thing I have never treated myself to. I would LOVE to get a professional massage on a weekly basis: or even try it ONCE. lol That is so nice.
