Does the item weigh over 10 pounds?
Is this something a person?
No. (see above answer to CL-Ed, lol)
I think we have to learn to play as a team. That means waiting for a question to be answered before I ask another. I could have saved a guess.
I don't have to count that one. No problem. I do think the answer must be discovered after a total of twenty questions, though. We are all still learning since this is the first round for this game, so yours can now be question twelve.
12. Does the item weight over 10 pounds?
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of the things, and no good thing ever dies.
I'm sure we will get better with practice. Does the item weigh less than 20 pounds?
13. Does the item weight less than 20 pounds?
Is the animal in the cat family? (such as lion)
Let's keep this going, since this is our "practice run." I will even give you guys more than 20 questions for this first game, then we can start playing by stricter rules next, if you want. I can give you 30 guesses, since our "practice" game is a bit of trial and error. What do you think?
I think I need a lot of guesses.
Does the animal weigh over 100 pounds as an adult?
LOL, well it IS kind of hard. I think the trick (for future) is to really narrow some general things down in the beginning, such if it is an object, animal, etc. Just what I am thinking and learning as we are going along here.
The answer to your question is: No.
Okay, I know it's an animal but not a domestic animal. It is not from the cat family. It does not weigh less than 20 pounds and does not weigh more than100 pounds. Does the adult animal weigh more than 50 pounds usually?
Does the adult animal weigh more than 50 pounds usually?
Is it a monkey?
Is it a wolverine? Is it furry?
No and no
Is it a leopard?
No, it has no fur. What else could it have?
Is it an alligator?
Let's keep guessing so we can keep this game going. For the next game, we are going to strictly follow the rules, like the Yes and No answers and few to no hints, but I will give on more hint.
If it is not fur, it could be what? Fur and __________.
skin? I think I am going to have to give up on this one. What is it?
Okay. Just for the trial game I will give a better hint. It has feathers.
No. Think brrrrrrrrr...... lol
That's the problem, my brain is not working. I see now why this game is limited to 20 questions. I give up.
When we start the next one, now that we have had practice, we are going to number them. Also, think of ways right in the beginning to narrow it down, then as it goes on it will be easier. Like right away try to determine if it is an object, an animal or a person, etc. For the next one we are going to number the questions, too, and stay to the rules, "yes or no." Honestly, this is meant to be fun, not so frustrating, lol! So......I will list the next one and I will go review the rules and tips before I do.
The answer to this one was: A Penguin
Can we use another guessing game? I thought this one might be fun, because we can think of anything "that exists in the universe," we are limited to "yes or no" questions, and players must guess within twenty questions or the poster wins.
Here are the rules:
First poster must think of something that exists in this universe. She may answer only Yes or No to the other players' questions.
First player begins the game by asking a yes or no question. The best questions to ask first are general ones such as "Is this a class of things?" or "Is this a unique item?"
Ask up to 20 questions to try to determine what the player is thinking. The classic Twenty Questions question is whether the object is an animal, vegetable or mineral but remember that things made of plastic or other man-made materials are none of these. (I have also heard, "Is it bigger than a breadbox," for a common Twenty-Questions question).
Ask questions such as "Is it alive or is it dead?" if you determine that the object is a living creature. You may also want to ask whether it is human or not and if so, whether it is male or female. Other good questions involve finding out if the object is famous or notorious or if it's someone in your direct acquaintance.
Answer ambiguous, non-"yes or no" questions by replying "I can't answer that question." You may also reply "I don't know" if it is a question you can't answer.
Win the game as a questioner if you can determine what the first player is thinking of before using up all of your twenty questions. The person giving the answers wins if no one is able to guess what she is thinking of.
EACH PLAYER IS ALLOWED TWENTY QUESTIONS, BUT MAY ONLY ASK ONE QUESTION AT A TIME, THEN WAIT FOR THE ANSWER BEFORE POSTING ANOTHER QUESTION.
Play this game with a small group for the greatest effect. This will allow the twenty questions to be distributed evenly among the players. If the group is small enough, twenty questions may be allotted to each of the players.
IN THE CASE OF CL, WE NEED A GROUP LARGE ENOUGH, SO COME ONE PEOPLE! LET'S PLAY MORE GAMES, HELP THE FORUMS BECOME MORE ACTIVE AND EARN THOSE CL CHIPS!!!
Play the next round by letting the victor think of the next object for the other players to guess.

Tips: Ask specific questions to get the most revealing answers. Novice players tend to ask questions that could apply to some but not all of the object's characteristics and therefore may receive a misleading answer of "Yes
Okay. Review the tips and here we go again!
