Ok, for this game you change one letter in the word to make a different word. Example:
moose...change the o to a u and you get mouse
level l to r
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of the things, and no good thing ever dies.
change the l to c for cater
leave v to s for:
change the t to e = plane
Change l to D and here comes :
D E M O N
junk - change now
change j to hunk and we get hunk
REmove L and we get Four - just 4
here's my word:
Slave: I will change the "l" to a "t" and get
I will change the r to a d for prayed.
travel: "t" to "g" for gravel
change the f to an l and we get lender
I was just viewing this game in another forum, and it is kind of cool how they do it. They change a letter, but then the next person has to use that word. So.....if I posted king and you changed it to kind, then the next person has to use "kind" as their word and might post rind, then mind or whatever and on and on until they get "stuck." I just wanted to tell you about the variation, because it looks kind of fun.
Can we use proper nouns for this game, so could I post:
Mable? If not, let me know, and I will try again.
I'd change b with d and it comes dabble !
So here is my word:
crank! I will change the "r" to "l" to get:
I will change the w to s and make sink. I was going to change the i to an a but not sure if wank is a word.
This is a tough one or I am just not seeing it!
this is hard.. I tried different words but need to change two letters... or is there a new word from this??
How about streek? v - To draw out or open to full length
I think it is "streak" instead of streek but no worries. Thanks for the new word.
S to M and madden
There is also streek. I looked it up. I never knew it could be spelled with two letter es.
I will change the i to o for strong
Well, we learn something new every day, I guess, lol. "Streek" comes up underlined in red, which indicates a misspelling, but there ARE new words out there every day, so I believe ya!
I will change the a to o and go to the sea....
Antidisestablishmentarianism lol Just kidding!
Read new word:
I never knew if it was underlined in red that it was a misspelling. This entry shows it is British dialect but not in red.
streek [streek] Show IPA British Dialect
verb (used with object)
to stretch (one's limbs), as on awakening or by exercise.
to extend (one's hand or arm), as in reaching for or offering an object.
to stretch out or prepare (a corpse) for burial.
At least we learned a new word, not that I will remember it. So glad I don't have to change a letter in that long word!!!
I will change the f to b for bender
I need to streek my back. lol
LOL, well my long word is underlined in red, too, but that is really a word. My computer is set to underline misspelled words in read, so are my Word Documents. That helps, sometimes, when I am typing in a hurry.
letter I will change the "e" to "i" for
I will change the l to a t = state
new word......... leaves
I like that variation of the game better Hope. It makes it a little more challenging.
Do you want to try it that way? We don't have to. i just wanted to share, but let me know.
babble change the "a" to "u" and get:
changed the i to an a for patted.......
strange looks like a hard one. Let's see. hmmmm.....lol
I will pass and think about it and maybe someone else will come up with something while I think about it.
