Can anyone spell out the game of craps for me? No matter what I read or watch on it, I can't seem to get my hands around it.

I really don't get the rules or strategy. Do any of you play this game and can you give me some pointers?

Just go to Guides > Craps using the main menu. Its a pretty good guide if I do say so myself!

The game is complicated, and it one that is far better in a real casino than online where you don't have the same energy and excitement around the table.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing.

So much is right here at our fingertips. I will try that, too, because I have had the same problem with Craps....and the Roulette wheel. So many land casinos have the automated ones now, e.g. not run by people.

Yes its a tricky game and there are so many bets on the table it can look overwhelming. But if you want to play for a long time the best bets is the odds bet which has no house edge at all. However you have to place a pass or don't pass bet first. So for example you can place a pass line bet, then when the point is rolled (anything except a 7 or 11), put an odds bet behind your pass line bet. Then if your point number is rolled again before a 7 you win.

That way you minimise the house edge but you also see a lot of "free rolls" where neither your point number or a 7 comes up. If you go for a while like that the tension can really build!

Thanks, CL-Ed. The guide that is posted here did help me understand a little more clearly. Like with any game, I guess it would be to understand the basics, like what you posted above, then learn and remember a bit more each time you play, or as one feels comfortable.

Glad you posted your message, B'Slim, because I always wondered about Craps, too.
