I Played One-Dollar BlackJack at the land casino

2 replies • Last post

I played for a long time on just ten dollars. Better than donating my money into those TIGHT (at least for me!) machines! 😢

This casino advertises as the only casino in the state of MN that has one-dollar blackjack tables. But here is where they get you. Each player has to put up an ante of 25 cents per hand. Of course the ante is the casino's, win or lose. Of course the dealer said that is the only way they can offer the one-dollar tables or they would lose money. Not sure if I believe THAT or not, but whatever. It was still fun.

I did very well for a while, then the new shoe came along and I cut the cards! 😢 It was all downhill from there, lol.

Still need to play more aggressively when I am winning, I guess, because I think the most I was ever "up" in all that time was like seven dollars, lol.

I also noticed they have free blackjack tournaments going on this coming week. Too bad for 'Slim they don't have those online (yet or from what I could find, anyway). 😉

I have seen these tables before, although it may have only been $3-5 blackjack. The ante works in a way that is supposedly negating to the table and moves the blackjack payout from 3:2 to 6:5, wherein you should try to avoid the table, statistically speaking...

That said, I am seriously lacking in patience and would rather try my odds of gaining more funds quickly than the $1 at a time route.

But if you are new to the game as Hope is, it is a good way for you to build your skills and seeing what to do. Get good at Blackjack, then become a millionaire, Hope! You deserve it!

Lol, yes I DESERVE to be a millionaire. I LOVE the sound of that, 'Slim! lol 😉

Thinking back, I did have more fun at the other land casino playing at the three-dollar table than I did at the one-dollar table. My brother always plays at the five-dollar tables, and he always has.

I will keep working on building up those skills, and let you all know when I hit it big!
