Hi, Ubetcha.

I was going to start a separate thread for this. What a waste of a beautiful talent. First Amy Winehouse, and now Whitney. I got goosebumps when my son told me some stories he heard on the radio about this, this morning.

That was gross. They do have to make our fruits and veggies "pretty" or they think people won't buy it, and that comes at a cost. Very sad. The comments are interesting.

Now they are saying that Whitney may have drown in the bathtub of her hotel room. Of course, at times like this, rumors will fly, but her relative spoke with her about 30 minutes before her death, and she sounded fine. Just so tragic. 😢

I was saddened to hear of her death also. My daughter learned to sing " I Will Always Love You" in kindgergarten. Drugs ruin peoples' lives.

Yes, I've watched the Grammy's tonight..... fantastic tribute to Whitney Houston! On the other hand I'm happy for Adele, she's winning most categories.

Yes, I knew Adelle would clean up! lol! Loved her emotional (and humorous) speech for Record of the Year. Good for her.

I thought there was going to be a tribute to Etta James, also? Was she even in the "In Memorium" section. I didn't see her, and I hope I just missed it, because that would be a huge over sight! Just like leaving Farah out of the Oscar ones last year!

Sad that Whitney's daughter was brought to the E.R. for stress and anxiety. Just so sad, and Whitney certainly seemed to be trying to clean up and make a new start. Far too young to lose another talent like her. 😢

One more incredible performance by Adele (Adele Laurie Blue Adkins). I promise I will stop now, lol. I am just in awe of this woman and her voice, and I cannot even believe she is only 23 years old. Amazing!

I agree! I still cannot believe she is only 23 years old. And I love how she is happy with her "fuller figure." I am tired of looking at anorexic skeletons, lol. I think women look much better with a little weight on them.. Since when did sizes 10 and 12 become "plus" sizes and sizes 2 and 4 become the "norm?" I am too thin, but not by choice.

I liked how she uses her hands to talk while she sings. It looks like her fingers are really long.

This sounds funny, but this "error" has messed up this person's LIFE.

For three years bank says customer is dead, but he is not:

That is crazy. The bank should have to provide a death certificate to the customer to prove he is really dead. Since they won't be able to do that, then he is alive. I thought it was funny that the reporter said that being alive is not enough proof that he is not dead. lol

Corrections Corporation of America has been offering to purchase the prisons currently owned by state governments. Their offers have reportedly been structured as part of long-term contracts, with provisions calling for the states to guarantee 90% prison occupancy.

How can anyone guarantee a 90% occupancy rate unless they plan on arresting people who are not guilty of anything?

Well for one thing, because they are predicting prison populations off of third graders reading standards tests. That still makes me sick to my stomach. As my lawyer friend told me, building prisons and jails is "big business." Sickening! 😢

It is definitely big business and needs to be stopped. Do you remember hearing about the judge who was convicting teens of things like saying something about a teacher? There really wasn't a crime committed but he was helping someone he knew to fill the prisons? Thankfully he is now serving time in jail. I wonder if it's in one of his friend's prisons. Do you ever think that education is not funded enough so that people can be "dumbed down"?

There was a Good Wife episode that was similar to that. I also do not believe that funds is education's problem, because I have witnessed the waste in school and there is a horrible mismanagement of those funds, I am sorry to say, IMHO. Reminds me of the book, "The Dumbing Down of America."
