How I Spent My CL Chips!

Ok, I was jacked with the CL chip shop. I redeemed two sets of points for Amazon Gift Certificates. Amazon is the best store in the world; you can get anything there. I thought it would be cool to start a thread to pump up the shop and share what you got with your chips.

I used my Chips (Amazon cards) to buy: A book called the Modern Drunkard, Lord of War Blu Ray, Keurig Coffee, and a book about the Detroit Red Wings/Colorado Avalanche hockey rivalry.

Thanks Casino Listings!

sosogadelia,

1. This isn't a place for you to come and "earn money". It is a rewards program for people who contribute to our forums to help them grow. And to be honest you are skating on very thin ice as far as contributing goes.

2. Read the rules regarding CLchips.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.
Post in our forums to earn CLchips which can be used to buy real prizes in our CLchips shop.

I want to accumulate for External memory or Kindle, but I think I would be seduced by cheaper but also attractive products 😀)

Has anyone seen the new Fire Kindle? It is basically a 7 inch Android tablet, and it runs only $199...Looks like good stuff!

Are you having 2nd thoughts about the iPad slim? I guess thats the market Amazon is aiming for at $199. They will probably sell like hotcakes.

I believe 90,000 sold for pre order the first day... I really need to see one in the wild before I make up my mind. I would love an iPad, but if the dual core Kindle tablet is sufficient (it does Flash!) and $150 cheaper; I could see myself going that route perhaps.

We shall see!

I saw Kindle Fire too, looks amazing, but there are some considerations such as limited opportunities- the marketplace for apps is quite limited for Kindle Fire, looks like a restricted Android device...

Kindle fire is not for reading, as the screen has emanation just like our computer monitors, it's a tablet with a Kindle app installed. The kindle touch is quite convenient for reading, but it's small- fits in the pocket. As for the special non-touch Kindle with no keyboard but the 5 direction navigators, the inconvenience hinders me from buying it.

because the display of Kindle is better and it doesn't damage your eyes, you have the feeling that you are reading the paper based book, not a device display

I agree with you Salivan, the screen is just like the real paper, and doesn't hurt your eyes, one more important thing about Kindle is that you can carry it n your pocket, meaning that you do not have to drag heavy books with you when you go to the seaside for example. The convenience is what matters !

yes, it is very important for me, as I always carry books when I go on holidays and I always have the problem of having too much luggage and with Kindle, I would be able to somehow shorten it and economy the space.

I was saving for Kindle, but was tempted by other things 😢 such as Beatles bag and a travel mug, which I will need soon, to have hot coffee everywhere in the cold weather 🙂

I bought a new ceramic netti pot with my Amazon card. No more sinus infections for me. Thank you so much CL. I also ordered a Kiva gift certificate.

That's awesome, LuckyMe. Hopefully that Netti Pot keeps your sinuses clear. I love mine as it has saved me a few days of work that I would have otherwise taken off.

What did you invest in with Kiva?

I love the netti pots. I lost the lid to the last one and it was plastic, which I don't think is too safe to use in a microwave. The new one will be ceramic.

I helped a farmer in El Salavador buy fertilizer to grow crops. Here is the link. http://www.kiva.org/lend/376877
