Licensed Properties I Want to See as Online Slots

7 replies • Last post

As an online gambling fan, I end up playing my fair share of slots and table games. The Casino Listings site has been a great benefit for me, as I get to play many of the slots from developer like Playtech, Net Entertainment, or Microgaming, all of which I can't use to gamble with for real money. This has allowed me the chance to play licensed games like Frankenstein, Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, and (unfortunately) Scarface.

Getting to play these games often times takes me back a bit, as the franchises are some of my favorites from my childhood or early adult years. Although there are some excellent licensed slots out there, I began asking myself, "What licensed slots do I want to see that haven't been released yet?"

With that idea in my head I began tossing around some ideas, and this is a list of games I want to see developed into online slots. Of course, feel free to comment on what you think, and let me know of any licensed ideas I may have missed.

My list of franchises I want to see turned into slots is as follows:

Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction- Debatably my favorite movie of all-time (with Ghostbusters), this property has a ton of great characters, great one liners, and classic clips that could be used in the game. Could you imagine a dancing Mia and Vincent Vega acting as Expanding Wilds, or having a game where you have to clean the brains out of Jules' car? I know it is a vulgar movie, but I think it would be great to play as a slot.

Star Wars

Star Wars- Yes, I am a huge Star Wars nerd. Yes, I am aware that there is a land based Star Wars slot. But I still haven't seen this online and I would love to. This will never happen though, as Disney has announced it doesn't want its brands being featured in a gambling setting (and is pulling its Marvel slots at the end of their contract), but I still want to see it? All of the great footage, booming sounds and neat bonuses we could experience would make this game a must play in my book.

Gotham

Gotham- This show has hooked me since my friends convinced me to watch it, and the dark brooding theme would be perfect online. For those of you not in the know, Gotham takes place when Bruce Wayne is a boy (just after his parents are murdered) and follows a young Jim Gordon as he fights through Gotham City's seedy underbelly. The show is excellent, and I think a nighttime theme with the various characters will play quite well.

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead- Another great television series that I know many CL users are found of, and it is a game that could provide some bloody good fun. Bonus rounds could be really unique here, with Walkers biting characters that have died in the series, splattering blood for Random Wilds, a Pick'em game where you have to select Walkers to blast, and other gory fun that can boost your winnings would be great.

These are just a few of the crazy ideas I have had running through my head. What kind of games would you want to see? What would make them so great? I look forward to seeing what you have to say!

Great post slim, I must have missed this before.

Pulp Fiction could be ok, so long as it has none of those tedious dribble scenes with Bruce Willis and his wife. What about a "find the watch" bonus game? (sorry)

I'm pretty sure there already is a Walking Dead slot machine in the land casinos. Yep here is some info, looks like it's made by Aristocrat.

You're right on Star Wars though. Now it is being Disneyfied there is no way they will make more slots. It sounds like they are going to milk it for all its worth and they will make plenty of money anyway.

You'll appreciate this as a Star Wars nerd. My son is having his birthday party this weekend and he is currently obsessed with Star Wars. My wife has been making a death star pinata using a beach ball, paper mache, and paint. Its looking really good too - almost too good to let the kids bash it. I am thinking of getting a bike helmet and making a cardboard "blast shield" just to make it a little harder for them. 😉

Star Wars is a classic and I can see why everyone would like that idea. Pulp Fiction and Walking Dead are bloody and therefore their allure might be limited to only men. I don't know much about Gotham, except for the promo ads that I see from time to time. A whodunit movie-based game that I would like is The Usual Suspects

That Death Star pinata sounds amazing! Now you have to paint a broomstick or something similar in lightsaber blue.

And I agree newflorida: a slot on The Usual Suspects would be pretty cool to see as well.

A Simpsons slot would be great! I was at the casino not too long ago and saw a Family Guy slot there. It was pretty in-depth and had a ton of clips and bonus features. A Simpsons game could be just as great.

There were also The Walking Dead scratch offs here in Minnesota (among other places) a while back. I didn't try them, but i know someone who won a big one on those tickets.

Those are some good ideas on your list, 'Slim.

I have never done well on those theme slots, though. I remember Sex and the City eating up my money quickly. lol The only two I remember lasting a while playing were CSI and The Wizard of Ozz (one of the many variations of this themed game).

There's a reason for that hope. Acquiring a license to those sorts of shows costs a lot of money and they have to recover it somehow - usually with low payout rates.
